Stroke Support Station (S3), developed on the framework of R.E.A.L (Re-learn & Enjoy Active Living), was officially opened today.
“The challenges the survivors face when on their own in the community is of great concern and the need to augment community support is paramount in their road to recovery. At S3, we strive to be holistic and address body and mind. We have created an atmosphere that seeks to provide stroke survivors with physical programmes for health as well as offer guidance with social, emotional and psychological support. We hope to help them have a better quality of life, ultimately, bridging the gap between discharge from hospitals and rehabilitation centres into their homes and society.”
